Dancing with Marylin Monroe
Every now and then I think of you.
Wonder where you're at and what you're up to.
Do you still like to dance
with the same breezy lack of inhibition?
I see you late at night, on your balcony
drinking whiskey, watching the moonrise.
And on the lawn by the magic stones,
creating memories.
Sometimes I think of you
and all the things we used to do.
We were so serious then,
when laughter might have saved us.
We talked so much that silence escaped us.
Quiet now, with nothing much to do.
These are the times when I think of you.
Wonder where you're at and what you're up to.
