It was my project at first.
I worked for two weeks,
long hours, happily.
A chance to prove myself,
or so I thought.
I was unfamiliar with the medium,
years out of practice.
But so much came back to me
each day.
The deadline came and went
and still I struggled
to finish the project.
Slowly one, then another
was added to the project
to finish as soon as possible
what I had started.
I hovered, watching the progress,
looking for a chance to work.
I slipped in and out of usefulness,
appreciating the work I couldn’t do.
finally finished, posted for all to see,
I recognize my part in the process
but wonder if anyone else will.
work at continental is different than any place i've worked before. i try so hard to excel, but i don't always know what i'm supposed to do. it makes me wonder if i'm such a good designer at all.
