What can I say today
that is different than yesterday?
I am one day older
and only one day wiser.
I did love you yesterday
and every day before
for days and days.
I love you today
and will tomorrow
for all the tomorrows to come.
But I am wiser in tiny little
increments of minutes and hours.
One day I will be able to tell you
why I love you
and no one else.
But I couldn’t yesterday
and have only an inkling today.
Be patient with me
and one day you will know
just how much I have loved you.
i can be so attracted to a woman for so many reasons, but i still have a hard time saying i am in love. i continue on and care more and more and eventually, when my defenses have deteriorated, i end up trying to explain just how i feel.
